Welcome to Safar Seaplane Base
Our Story
What began as a dream to have a Piper J3 Cub parked at the end of our dock became a reality in 2021 when we purchased our 1947 model. We went a little backwards about it and bought the plane before ever taking our first flight instruction. But hey, there’s no better motivation than having a plane at the end of your dock ready for seaplane adventures. Fast forward four years, after getting licensed and joining the seaplane community, Safar Seaplane Base (97FA) was officially registered with the FAA as a private seaplane base. Although we are registered as a private seaplane base, we love watching planes and flybys, and our local community enjoys it too!
